Frequently asked questions

What is a virtual miner?+

A virtual miner is a standardized unit of 200 TH/s of SHA-256 mining capacity running on ASICs in Segments data centers. You rent the capacity, we run the machines, power and cooling.

How is the price set?+

Prices follow the live hashprice — what one terahash earns per day at the current Bitcoin price and network difficulty — and refresh every 15 minutes. Your price is locked when you check out.

How do I receive my earnings?+

Earnings are paid by the pool your hashrate points to. With SegPool, BTC goes straight to the wallet address you enter at checkout. With your own pool, payouts follow that pool's rules.

What is the difference between Fixed and Flexible?+

Fixed packages run a set capacity for a set number of days. Flexible orders let you choose your budget and speed, and keep running for as long as you top up your USDT balance.

When does mining start?+

As soon as your USDT payment is confirmed on-chain we allocate your capacity and point it to your pool — within 24 hours. We email you when your hashrate is live.

Estimated earnings are based on the current BTC price and network difficulty, minus a 2% pool fee, and are not guaranteed. Actual results depend on difficulty changes, pool luck and the BTC price. Mining capacity is non-refundable once mining has started.
